I've noticed that several TG's such as 2Comm, 3 Comm from the central NJ system are being simulcast on the Northern system. Can anyone tell me if any TG's from the Southern system covering Atlantic City are also simulcast? Are such simulcasts continuous, or activated on an as needed basis?

Thanks

You'll hear a troop A TG on the troop C system if someone on the troop C system is affiliated with that TG, and etc. That's how a SmartZone OmniLink system works.

Joe is right. My friend that ran the admin end of the network upgrade told me that simulcasting & multi-TGID patches really don't exist anymore.

The reason you hear those Troop-C dispatches on Troop-B's system is that someone in Troop-B has a radio tuned to those talkgroups.

The NJSP radios now (I believe, at least, for the normal patrol troopers) are set up for system-wide usage (keeps the radio techs lives easier!). They should all have the same basic patrol TGID's for all 3 troops in them...
