I only live like 5mins from them but I can’t keep the radio at there house. Maybe I can ask my landlord if I can put that antenna on my roof of my apartment

JimBob, the Allentown system is funny like that. Sometimes it'll come in fine, and then nothing at all. If you are in the city, receive is good. I attribute it to Allentown being a Harris system, but who knows. I can hear the system fine from my place in Bushkill Township, but only with my SDS100/SDS200 or my Unication G5 w/duck antennas. I have no receive on any other scanners unless I use my ST2 mounted outdoors.

I can hear the system from work in Tatamy too, with an outdoor antenna, but again only with the SDS200.

What scanner are you using?

Way for me to pay attention! Thanks.

I think you'll need an antenna outside. You can try moving the scanner a few different places in the apartment. Sometimes a move of only a few inches can make a world of difference. I use a Spectrum Force 800Mhz mag mount antenna at work mounted on an AC unit outside my office. Works wonders.

Or put the scanner back where you got reception, and set up a VPN to stream the audio to the other location, using ProScan at the remote end to play the audio and control the 536.

@jonwienke.... i’m not able to leave the scanner at my parents house I can only leave it there when I’m programming it but I have to take it back to my place to listen to it. What is VPN?? Also I’m using ProScan to program this radio.

Virtual Private Network
A way to securely join two networks across the internet. Set up a VPN connection to your parents house, and the scanner could be there and you still listen to it and control it from your house.

Speaker volume has no relationship to audio stream volume, so they wouldn't even have to know it was there.

I order this today.. SpectrumForce Wideband Antenna with Mag Mount and BNC | Scanner Master then when I get it in the mail I’m going to put it on my air conditioner either in my bedroom or in my living room maybe on the outside of that because I don’t think it’s going to fit inside on the top of my air conditioner unit. So maybe that will actually work to pick up the city of Allentown from my apartment on the 2nd floor
