"No Battery"

My Radio is saying "No Battery" even though I have a new set of fully charged NIMH in there. It also won't charge as it thinks there are no batteries...Has anyone seen this? Does anyone know if there is a max battery capactiy that the radio can handle

What kind of radio do you have and do you have the battery installed properly?
