ProScan: NO CONNECT AFTER UPDATE

I just updated Pro Scan to version to 21.2 and now I cannot download from scanner. BCD996P2. I uninstalled and went back to
version 21.2 and still I cannot download from scanner. Its not in bold. no matter what I do. It says in bold blue DATABASE FILE CLOSE.

Go to the Database menu then open a file. To automatically open a file when ProScan starts: Go to the Options -> Startup tab then click Load Database.

{edit} If ProScan can't communicate with the scanner then power cycle the scanner.
