I was just curious on how nodes work on broadcastify?

You click on it and you can listen live to it. How is it different from the police scanner apps? Thanks in advanced.

Most of the popular police scanner apps, on phones, are pulling the feeds directly from Broadcastify feeds.

I know that but the individual nodes for talkgroups. How do those work? The scanner feed is up but the nodes for in my playlists are not working or seen as they say for a month. Who do i talk to about that?

Each feed is provided by a user, so could be a variety of reasons for a 'node' to not be working. Give me some examples of what nodes you are talking about and will try to see what's going on.

Ok. Slater ST. LOUIS county. Fire/EMS. South and North Dispatch/Main.

North Disp: 54753
North Main: 54754
South Disp: 54755
South Main: 54756

Plus their TAC channels. Theyre not encrypted.

Checking the listings for St. Louis county, none of the fire channels are being sent to the Calls Platform at the current time. So setting up a playlist on Calls will get nothing. The North/South nodes are listed in the regular Legacy feeds on Broadcastify.

And SLC Firenet 54101, which is the main dispatch node for fire/ems/police is Encrypted.

Feeds are provided by volunteers with their own equipment. There are multiple reasons why a feed goes down. Computer crashed, moved out of the area, they no longer want to provide a feed are just some of the reasons. If they are not providing a feed, there is no way to contact someone who is not providing a feed. If by some miracle the previous provider sees this thread and responds, then you will have an answer. Otherwise, you are out of luck.
