Non-Affiliate scan programming examples

Those who have successfully programmed a non-affiliate scan using the "hidden talk-group" method, I'm reaching out to ask for a copy of your code plug and/or pictures of your code plug programming so I can use them as an example and compare them with my own.
I've successfully programmed a Non-affiliate scan for an ASTRO P25 9600 baud trunking system on a motorola xts2500 being the radio nerd I am, I would still like to compare my programming with others in the community to ensure quality. This is a website where radio enthusiast's come together so I'm hoping there are those in the community who would wanna discuss this topic.

It does TX anything, it's a BS TX frequency to keep it from accidentally affiliating. The conventional channel/personality itself is nothing more then a mask that is slaved to a Scan-list programmed with the talk-groups from the trunking personality you want to listen to. The conventional programming is nothing more then a shell for scanning a trunking system, there's a lot that more though to programming a Non-Affiliate scan, thinking of it this way may help understand the topic better.

It's a confusing topic and honestly there are conflicting instructions from a lot of users.

Is there anything specific you are looking/asking for? If programmed correctly it should work without issue and you shouldnt have to do anything more than setting up/organizing your scan lists.

If you are trying to listen to a Harris system with your 2500, there’s a few settings that must be changed.

This is why the Unication G4/G5 and The BK KNG series are becoming popular.
It takes much of the guess work out of it. It takes the worry away for stun or kill commands. Gives you professional grade audio and same professional grade receiver.

I have never found loud RX audio from any scanner. As for the BK radio, I wonder if the CPS is as easy to “find” as Moto CPS.

Just like with Motorola you have to purchase it. BK does not make you jump through hoops though. So its relatively easy to purchase.
When i got my radio i purchased software from them as well as programming cable.

Last week I ordered an extra charger and antenna direct from BK with no issues. With them being a smaller company it makes things easier to do.

No one has done it yet, but do not turn this thread into a file sharing repository. If you want to share them offline we obviously have no control over that.

Also do not discuss depot/labtool or any variants of them.

And keep in mind Radio Reference and this forum specifically has a large audience to include system owners, so discuss or share files at your own risk.

I would add that discussion on how to generate a system key is also off-limits.

A quick search will bring up lots of step by step instructions on how to do NAF scanning. Anybody interested can certainly find lots of other resources other than RR.
