Last Tuesday in Southwestern Virginia, I was driving North on I-81, around the 170-180 mile markers last when myself and the rest of the highway got buzzed by an F-15. Couldn't have been more than a few hundred feet off the ground, then took a hard right, wings almost perpendicular to the ground before going up and in between the mountains. A minute later saw about 4 more of them. No idea what that was about, but very very low, and doing pretty sharp maneouvers, especially right over the major highway with a fair amount of traffic on it.

Not unusual to see F-15 and others doing exercises in Southwest VA, especially in the mountain areas. It is unusual to see them that close to the interstate. I have been targeted multiple times while patrolling on top of the mountains in the Botetourt area. There's nothing like getting your car rocked by a low flying plane!!
