I never hear traffic from the talkgroups listed for Normandy Park. Also, I remember hearing the police on 154.415 so I'm not quite sure which system Normandy Park Police uses.

Not true, the stuff there is very active, or are you just talking about Normandy Park, I just drove through that arae and it was very active with my HP-1 useing the GPS set up.

You're probably not using the right site. The local agencies are usually on dedicated sites. So for Normandy Park, you'll probably need the Seattle Simulcast site entered into your scanner.

So for example, if you've programmed in only the KC/Valleycom site then you may not hear Normandy Park PD.

PS. I'm guessing it's Site 1 -- but that would seem the most logical.

Normandy Park PD is still VHF until they switch to the Port of Seattle. Never have been on the KC trunk.

Ah thanks for the update. That would explain it and it makes even more logical sense.

Thanks all of you. I will punch the TGIDs in and use the Seattle site. I once barely caught them on 154.815, but was most likely not within range. Thanks again.
