Northcomm Patch

Hey all,

I haven't heard anything over the northcomm patch frequency and was wondering if anyone had any history or further information on when this patch may have been or is used?

I hear it in used almost exclusively when Northcomm does "VHF Days". It is a patch of 3A, everything else is handled on the XSD frequencies.

(Hopefully made the correct edit this time...)

3C is a Tac channel, wonder why they use it for that. Perhaps if they run into comm issues on a legitimate incident?

No problem. I heard it in use a few weeks back during a VHF day. They do them a handful of times a year, typically running from 8am to 8pm. I'm sure they're announced somewhere but I have yet to find it. I usually only know because my analog scanners suddenly get very active with the XSD freqs.
