Leesburg- LCSO and Leesburg PD are making a concerted effort to locate a loose dog. I haven't heard anything to confirm it, but I would think there would only be such an effort if it was a K9 unit on the loose. They are referring to it as K9 as opposed to dog. Around 1500 I heard them mention requesting the Fairfax helicopter.

Last seen in the area of Rt15/Rt7 overpass. The search has been going since 1300. Ops on Brambleton Tac 1, command post at the Westpark Golf Course.

The K9 is named Bronco. Handler is Master Deputy Ray Sullivan.

1739- Fairfax-1 is now on the way. Using the radio from one of their old helicopters.

It sounds like they've located Bronco. The only problem now is actually catching him.

He is in the area between Rt704 and Ivandale Rd and south of Rt7 in Hamilton.

Loudoun is working a water rescue on Snickersville Turnpike at Watermill Rd. Boat 613 is on the way now after the Chief 608 was saying they were out of service and to call for Boat8 from Clarke. Boat617 enroute also. Ops on 6L.

2206- Reporting that the vehicle and victim on the roof are now floating downstream.

2249- They just found the guy clinging to a tree. Beginning a rescue now.
2253- Boat613 has him.

Loudoun has been working water rescues all night and just got dispatched for another one at Evergreen Mills/Watson Rd.

Still working or about to finish one on Lime Kiln Rd and an earlier one was on Evergreen Mills Rd.

High speed chase in Belle View area of Alexandria

Multiple PD units involved in this one. Mostly Alexandria PD, Fairfax Co. PD and US Park Police


Chase ended with suspect hitting guard rail on Fort Hunt Rd near Belle View Blvd. Suspect in custody.

PD on scene requesting medics for suspect.

This seems like it all started as an On-Duty APD Motor Unit was struck in Old Town Alexandria at Wilkes St. & S. St. Asaph St. by the suspect vehicle in the pursuit. Suspect vehicle is also a TAXI

Loudoun and Fairfax units now involved in a search for a suspect involved in a burglary type event in Fairfax Co that led to a pursuit and then bail out in the Algonkian Pkwy/Hardwood Forest Dr area. Loudoun's getting a perimeter set up. At least three units heading east out of Leesburg to assist.

After 10 min or so now, they still haven't agreed to a common channel to use.

0643- Fairfax dispatcher advising Loudoun is unable to switch over. Loudoun was the first to say use the Loudoun channel. I know for certain Fairfax has Loudoun channels.

0644- Now hearing a Fairfax unit on Loudoun's channel.

Suspect is a black male, about 5' 7", 150# last seen near Waterfall Branch Terrace by a Faifax unit pursuing on foot.

LCSO in pursuit of a Neon. Eastbound on Rt7 east of Rt287 now. Ops on Dulles channel. Additional units advised not to enter pursuit. Clarke Co units pulling out. Silver Neon with a carbon fiber hood and large spoiler.

2216- Lost sight of it in the area of Rt9. Ending it for now. But will be watching for it to return to the registered address.

Apparently started after witnessing a hand-to-hand drug transaction in Clarke Co. They didn't seem to be in direct contact with Loudoun units. I did tune in my bank with SIRS and PMARS but not til the end and only heard a unit '535' call someone once. No idea if that was related. I was also getting some encrypted hits on 151.085.

Law Enforcement Training Exercise April 1 at Loudoun Valley High Sch.

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management, as well as the Town of Leesburg Police Department, the Town of Purcellville Police Department, the Town of Middleburg Police Department and the Virginia State Police, will hold a security exercise on Monday, April 1st, at Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville.

The exercise will simulate an armed intruder entering the school. The exercise will begin at 7 a.m. and should conclude by 1 p.m. The area around Loudoun Valley High School will be sealed to the public during this time. Residents should avoid this area during the listed timeframe and should expect a large number of public safety personnel and vehicles in the area.

This public notice is to inform the public what will happen so that there will not be undue public concern on April 1st. Message boards will be set up on the day of the exercise to remind residents of the event.

This exercise will focus on the decision-making and the coordination processes associated in dealing with an armed intruder. The entire event will be simulated; all activities will be monitored for safety.

No students will be present in the building or on the school’s grounds during this exercise, which is being held on a teacher work day. The staff of Loudoun Valley High School has volunteered to participate because of the importance it places on school security.

This full-scale exercise is to allow participants to test current policies, practices and procedures. It is designed to be educational, clarify roles and responsibilities, develop individual performance, reinforce strengths and identify opportunities for improvement.

Police traffic on Dulles TAC2, EMS on 61G T51 and coordination/technical/setup on Round Hill TAC2. Also getting encrypted traffic on 2864; not sure if this is connected to the drill or not.

Was actually nice having both PSR-800s in use to monitor everything as well as any real traffic.

Sounds like it will be a working house fire in Sterling- end unit townhouse on Center Brook Sq in the Lowes Island area. Flame coming from near the gas meter. Then a door blown off the garage, but now no visible flame. Ops on 6D. Units from Fairfax Co to assist.

I missed the initial call, but there is some sort of ongoing investigation in the Countryside neighborhood of Sterling, around the area of the pond. CSI requested a unit bring them a LIDAR unit, for taking a distance measurement I would imagine. The PIO and a canteen unit are on scene.

1438- The sheriff will on his way to the scene now.

And now I just got done assisting with a brush fire near my house. I heard the dispatch for a nearby intersection. I looked down that way but didn't see anything so figured it was on the opposite corner. Until I started smelling smoke that is and noticed straight back from my house about 800ft. The was a bunch of light smoke, so I grabbed an extinguisher and ran back there. There were already three people back there that had done a gone job of putting it out with flip-flops and filling gatorade bottles with water from a creek right next to the fire. I hit a couple spots with the extinguisher then ran back towards my house to find Jeep1 which was coming down the road. I showed them how to get to the fire and they took care of soaking everything.
