I'm a little confused by the RR database for Northside.

The description shows this...

System Type: LTR Passport

Is it LTR or NXDN???

It is just a regular LTR Passport system. I don't why it shows digital voice. Even when the School PD used it they were not digital. Also school PD is on the SA Provoice system.

I would be surprised if the system has been touched since July 2009 when I left there. It really would be great if they upgraded the Passport controller to MOTOTRBO but they had 855 subscriber units (HT1250 and CDM1550) 6 years ago (probably around 950 now) and the cost to replace those radios without a new bond is pretty prohibitive, especially with the PD having to fund their EDACS radios.

Not to mention the in building coverage is really sketchy unless you're within about a 3 mile radius of one of the sites, so most campuses still use conventional talk around channels.
