Northstar Commuter Rail Service

With the Northstar Commuter Rail Service in the news and facing potential closure, I am wondering about radio usage.

I gather from this that the AAR frequencies they use are 161.160 and 161.385. Do they get track warrants by voice radio for each trip?

What ARMER talkgroups do they use?

The link talkgroups is only for the connector bus from big Lake at St. Cloud. There are no ARMER talkgroups for commuter rail operations since it is operated by BNSF. Transit police do roam onto the Sherburne/Wright system to patrol to stations and drop off officers, but they use their west side dispatch talkgroups.

2564 I believe is still assigned as North Star 1. It has been a few years since I have heard anything on it. I don’t recall it being a very busy Talkgroup
