I just received my 160 and put in a couple conventional DMR channels for testing (used the trial software from Butel) and I'm not getting any audio from them when a signal comes in. The signal bar shows full strength and the screen also shows it's DMR with the correct color code and NFM. Regardless, I hear nothing on these DMR channels. Yes they are active and I can hear them on my SDS100. Any ideas?

After monitoring both scanners on one of the DMR channels, it appears that a signal is received by both scanners and sometimes there's audio and sometimes not. So, I'm guessing there's something else transmitting on that same frequency that isn't DMR. Whatever that other signal is, it's pretty active as it comes in quite often.

OK, i figured this out... it's an FM 800mhz control channel... unfortunately, it prevents keeping this frequency in the scan because it stops constantly. :(

OK...so not conventional DMR like you said in your opening post. You'll need to program it and all other frequencies associated with the site as MotoTRBO trunked with correct LCNs. If the system is known to the RRDB you can easily do this with Proscan

I didn't think the two new Uniden models support trunk tracking. If not, then I doubt you could program any LCNs as they are only needed to steer the scanner to the correct voice channel.
Someone else here on RR also mentioned the new Uniden's do not stop on control or rest channels data or data bursts.
I could be wrong as I've not purchased either of the new models and have not looked in ProScan when setup for one of the new ones. I'm only going by what I read here.
I'm pretty sure they scan the trunked systems as conventional channels like Whistler does for NXDN and DMR.

Yes, true. Still need to hard code that into my brain...

Nice to finally have the database listing, it's conventional. Slot 1 might carry data emissions (which are likely stopping your scanner) if voice traffic is only carried on slot 2...
