Reading through all this, the issue is resolved if you only program the known control channels?

Maybe. A CC can also be used as an IV&D channel.
And quite often is, especially on TDMA systems where you want to keep the traffic channels available for 2 slot voice traffic, so the FDMA data being on a control capable channel is preferable.

Is that's what's happening with the system you're having issues with?
It's a real issue, I've had it happen to me as well. Nice to see it might finally get some attention after all these years.

I agree there. I was thinking if Uniden updates firmware to receive Phase 2 control channels in the future, might also become problematic if not resolved.

With the recent fw update I am now seeing an issue with my 100 on a Harris system. As we know each freq of a Harris system can be a cc and rotates regularly on my particular system.
When the cc changes I will be stuck on the old cc with no signal etc but shows that it’s id searching however when the stuck freq becomes active with voice it gets full signal etc but passes no voice.

I'm everywhere Focker!
And the above reported issue is different than mine as mine has existed since day one on the SDS-series. It's probably in the x36HP series as well, but I'm about 99% simulcast around here so testing on those would be a challenge.

User @kuzikan has sent me a private message. We (beta group) are currently working on a purposed FW to be released that should fix this issue. I currently do not have a timeline for the public release.
Since this is quite possibly a separate issue than the ID&V channel hang, UJE has requested debug logs to investigate further. I sent @kuzikan a private message asking for help obtaining said logs for analysis.

Wow, a beta tester did in 3 days what the "product manager" couldn't in 3 years. o_O

Is this issue only on phase 2 systems?

Let me tell you folks: Having worked with Jason in beta testing in the past Uniden is in good hands here. He has the knowledge and drive to push the Uniden Scanner line into the future. Very happy to see your success Jason!
