Hi I have a whistler ws1040, I am using a 3rd party import software called PSR-500/600, works great but the only frequency I'm not getting to work is Elliot hospital security, my area is manchester NH Hillsborough county, it under businesses this the info. Any help would be great. I did call whistler and they said that frequency should be working.

Welcome to the forums. Unless the Whistler Support representative is in your immediate area & can confirm for themselves the frequency is working, I'd disregard anything they say in that respect. Remove the DPL from your programming and monitor the frequency in tune mode. (Whoever made the submission didn't include the callsign so I'll throw the license in here) I'm seeing DMR emissions on said license so there is a chance they may have upgraded their ops to DMR since the submission was made (not a guarantee, just a chance). But they could have also changed tones. Third possibility (albeit rarer) is they could have changed frequencies, check the others (location #1) in the license I linked for activity. If they did indeed switch their ops to DMR you'll be out of luck trying to monitor with your 1040 (not capable of DMR, list of capable receivers here) Raw undecoded DMR sounds like this (turn volume down).

@Whiskey3JMC the license you mentioned is not the same FRN as what is in the database, so that might be new and a change that hasn't been submitted to the database, and hence the cause of the problem for @julzee

This is the license in the database, the callsign was on line #3 in the database.

I wouldn't really say this is the cause of the problem. What I was able to draw from the OP is they're trying to monitor the 464.375 frequency (missing its license info & which I included) OP would have to clarify for sure but my suggestions to the OP still apply

They are DMR. I've heard them a few times, including in October.
464.3750 DMR CC01 TG 152
I've updated the DB to reflect this.

FCC license WQVA445 shows 463.7125 NFM used for Catholic Medical Center security. It is simplex (no repeater). Mobiles (handhelds) are licensed for 5W max. You will hear the mobiles only if you are close to the hospital and/or have a good outside antenna.

Read my last sentence in Post #2, I included a link to what you'll hear on a non-DMR capable receiver.

whats op, im not into all this scanner language
OP = Original (or Opening) Poster which on this thread = YOU. Not "scanner language" but rather "forum language" ;)

that info is not in the RR database, so I assume I have to program manually

Have you confirmed the info that IS in the database is no longer accurate?

You're going to have to search. The frequency tvengr gave you, and the two in the DB, program all three without a PL/DPL and see what you hear. I've never heard them in my travels through the area, so I assume they are quite small. You do know that a very large portion of this very large database at RR, and the very large database at Scan New England have been found from members searching. Literally dozens and dozens of us, dumping frequencies into our scanners, and sitting, sometimes for HOURS, monitoring for any indication. So I hate to tell you this, but if something isn't found, it likely means you're going to have to do some work on it. But it's not hard, just needs patience. To pick up a frequency, get the tone/tg/whatever data, and confirm you're hearing what you intend to*

(*- This is crucial. In the business bands around here, everything is used, twice over, if not more, all within the range of each other. So you may be monitoring frequency xx.xx for a hospital, hear someone come up on it with a PL of 107.2 and think , viola! That's it. But if you had listened, you may have heard the nearby oil company who ALSO uses that channel discussing dumping 150 gallons in Mrs Smith's oil tank. It was the transmission an hour later with the PL of 203.5 where they mentioned the ED, that was the correct answer. And we've all been guilty of jumping the gun...)
