Notice every 30 mins or so (been doing my taxes so it could be a hour) a policeman does a radio test. Wonder if they are trying out new radio's?

Not long ago they put out a RFQ for some new equipment.
It wasn't anything over the top. Looks like some enhancements and new repeater(s) (nexedge capable I think) to their VHF system.
If they're doing a test, that's good.
If you can hear them doing the test, that's even better!

Hi rapidcharger was thinking same thing.
Strange thing is one cop was doing a radio test well radio check is hat he said but didn't hear anyone reply back but all of the others I heard a reply.
Nine hours later they are still doing the radio maintenance tests...Did notice if they say just "radio maintenace test 12345" they get no reply (?) but if they say radio maintenance test and ask dispatch how they read them they get a reply.
