Can anyone confirm if the Kenwood Nextedge and Icon IDAS products are compatible.

This is if a Kenwood Nextedge system/repeaters are in place ,can the Icom IDAS products be used on that system .And visa-versa.

This NXDN common was a joint venture , but they do not advertise its compatibility .

From my understanding, they can only in conventional mode, and only if the kenwood is using 6.25, not 12.5.
The Icom NXDN is only 6.25, so they would both have to match on that.
As for repeaters, again, as long as the repeater is conventional (not any kind of trunked) and using 6.25, should work.

Kenwood running on 6.25 kHz and Icom IDAS are both compatible for voice communications. I have experimented with both brands to see if there are any issues with compatibility.

I have customers running Icom repeaters and using Kenwood radios. The only thing I noticed is that certain Kenwood features will not work over an Icom repeater, such as Over-the-Air Alias.

This is for conventional only. The trunking is completely different. Icom uses an enhanced LTR approach, while Kenwood is more like a digital MPT-1327.

Kenwood's NXDN system is NEXEDGE, not Nextedge (no "t" in the spelling and is in all caps).

Just to confirm if this is correct :

Are you saying that they are compatible in the standard digital mode and obviously the analogue , only in their trunking modes they are not compatible .
