I am hearing static when I listen to one NXDN frequency that I programmed.

It's not trunked just a single frequency. I entered it as a conventional channel I think.

I have the NXDN upgrade and can hear other NXDN channels. When I go to edit current channel what would the

a. audio type be?
b. modulation

Make your audio type Digital instead of All.
Once you flip it to Digital, you'll have the option to either leave your choice as Search, which would work for whatever digital type is in use.
Or, you can set that to Search Area or Search RAN.

I've had a couple of digital channels that emit static as well randomly. I found that much of that could be cured if I reset the Digital Waiting Time (under the Options tab for the system the frequency is in) from the default 400ms to a lower value, 100ms.
