The land of broken calculators.
Not sure what happened but limited growth or no limited growth there was far more activity yesterday on NXDN worldwide than there was on DMR MARC worldwide and MARC has a lot more repeaters and a lot more users. One mustn't judge a network by its growth potential.

Not sure what happen at all haven't heard anything since last night everyone was talking via NXDN network system. Few of us were talking today on the system seems like it's picking up day by day I am glad to see that more ham's getting active on the NXDN system.

For what it's worth, DMR-MARC Worldwide is rarely used by anyone here in the U.S. with the exception of the Saturday morning net. Most U.S. traffic is on North America, Regional Talkgroups, or Statewide Talkgroups... There's also DCI 1 & 2 and COMM 1 & 2 from the DCI group and then there's the Bridge Talkgroup.

Check your c-Bridges reports, there's far more traffic, repeaters, users, and projects going on with MOTOTRBO, Hytera, etc. than D-Star and NXDN combined.

That's not to say one format or the other is better; it's just saying that the growth goes to speak volumes about how groups should interact with one another towards a common goal. You need structure and organization, not a bunch of hap-hazarded networking and installing.

There's a VHF NXDN repeater in Berlin, NJ; however, it is a closed and unlinked system.

That's way to far. Alright let me narrow it down. Like NYC metro area and central southern Connecticut.

There is a NXDN Ham repeater in Brooklyn, New York not sure what the Ran code for access to the system but the repeater is 146.43 with a pl tone 136.5. The repeater is about 30 miles give or take the direction of travel you take from the repeater site. Here's the website:

Ahh ok I've used them too. Though you had a more inside source. I find that half the listings on there never work...

And just like with DMR, there is more than one system in use for D-Star; if you go by just dstarusers.org, it may seem like there isn't as much activity as there really is, since all you're seeing there is the "official" D-Star stuff. A lot of our repeaters are on either the ircDDB system (ircDDB Home) or CCS (http://ccs001.xreflector.net/live_seite/); these two can also be accessed at xREFLECTOR which will also give direct display of the activity on the DCS reflector system.
