R30 NXDN

Has anyone receive traffic without a code to listen to? Have scanned frequencies I know are NXDN but never hear anything. My SDS200 picks this up fine. Haven’t tried hooking the R30 up to my discone like my SDS200 is.

There's a local conventional repeater/simplex user that is NXDN, and I put those freq's in as NXDN with no other information, and it auto decoded the RAN & UID as available. I don't remember it showing the UID alias like DSD+ does. Note no privacy/scrambler/encryption code was used either, but I think you meant RAN # when you said code.

Is the mode set to NXDN as well as the correct flavor (N vs VN)?

Are you sure you're giving the R30 the chance of even receiving the signal if not on the same antenna as the SDS200?

The R30 works extremely well on all NXDN signals, NXDN4800 and NXDN9600, Conventional and Trunked (doesn't trunk though), shows Group and Individual calls, works really well on known NXDN encryption codes too if used. Wont show Alias (CallerID).

As above we dont know what you mean by 'code': RAN, encryption key?, UID (It will always have one of these), GID? Post a screenshoot of what your SDS200 is showing once you have checked the antenna question.

Just starting to venture in on NXDN besides the SDS200 (have the NXDN upgrade) automatically configuring to listen. Haven't tried it much with the R30 since my last try over a year ago. Wasn't sure what the so called code was called. Just starting to learn it better. Think I will check my logs from the 200 for specific frequencies logged as NXDN and input those freqs and see what happens.

In my case it started working when i selected the VN flavor.
