Picking up NYMAC-1 with low noise in Rockland, right now. Appears they are simulcasting SOD traffic over it. Wondering if this was done due to the amount of mutual aide units that were in the city for COVID/Rioting?

I’ve heard it many times.
And is it a simulcast of both sides of SOD (dispatcher and field), or just the dispatcher? If the latter, that is probably a console simulselect.

Simulselect, for sure. No field units heard. It’s been awhile since I’ve heard them do it on a NYMAC.

Dispatcher side of SOD is regularly transmitted on NYMAC 1.
