Thanks for all of the feedback. I have not had any luck hearing them. They are 100% separate from the State Parks Police in Suffolk as they operate on one of SCPD TG's. This seems to be a great mystery. I've asked several people and looked around the database and have found nothing. I have not tested anything on the MRRS system though.
Quick question about the NYSPD (troopers) on the MRRS system. Is this a full time "cross patch" being utilized? I know the troopers have a TG on SCPD's system but I don't believe its on full time as I monitor SCPD often and only hear the troopers at night on there. Could be an activity thing or just when a radio roams onto SCPD's system but just my observation.
Pretty sure Troop L on MRRS is not a patch. I have never seen troop L active on Suffolk and MRRS at the same time either. As far as troop L patch on Suffolk, no clue where it’s coming from and any time there is troop L activity on Suffolk it is always from 1 radio in the 454xxxx range regardless if it’s a dispatcher or RMP. Suffolk is linked to East Hampton p25 system and Nassau county P25
Do they have an office at Jones Beach? I mean hg is Belmont but they do have offices at Captree and Robert Moses. If so any scanner with close call or signal stalker should I’d where they are especially during a shift change.
Correct, but the OP is inquiring about Nassau County operations. The only stuff I hear on the Suffolk talk group relates to state parks in Suffolk county. The one on MRRS seems to be all related to parks in the city but you do hear them talking about going back to Belmont.
My notes show the State Park Police in Region 9 using:
155.8200 (123.0) Nassau 1
159.2550 (123.0) Nassau 2
159.3900 (167.9) F4 "Operations"
159.4200 (167.9) F6 "Auxiliary"
