Through the courtesy of two members of the socalscan message board, here's my best shot of coming up with a list of Orange County Station identifiers:

6+ Flood Control
8+ Road Department
10+ California Highway Patrol
11+ UC Irvine Police
12+ Transit District
13+ Cal State Fullerton Police
14+ Probation Department
15+ Marshal's
16+ Military Police
17+ Animal Control
18+ Sheriff-Coroner
19+ District Attorney
21+ La Habra Police Department
22+ Brea Police Department
23+ Buena Park Police Department
24+ Fullerton Police Department
25+ Placentia Police Department
26+ Anaheim Police Department
27+ Yorba Linda Police Department
30+ John Wayne Airport, Sheriff
31+ Santa Ana Police Department
32+ Garden Grove Police Department
33+ Orange Police Department
34+ Tustin Police Department
35+ Stanton Police Department
36+ Cypress Police Department
37+ La Palma Police Department
38+ Villa Park Police Department
39+ Irvine Police Department
40+ Fountain Valley Police Department
41+ Seal Beach Police Department
42+ Huntington Beach Police Department
43+ Newport Beach Police Department
44+ Costa Mesa Police Department
45+ Laguna Beach Police Department
46+ San Clemente Police Department

48+ Los Alamitos Police Department
49+ San Juan Capistrano Police Department
51+ Seal Beach Lifeguard
52+ Huntington Beach Lifeguard
53+ Newport Beach Lifeguard
54+ Orange County Sheriff's Harbor Patrol
55+ Laguna Beach Lifeguard
56+ San Clemente Lifeguard
92+ County Parks
93+ Integrated Waste Management Agency
94+ County Public Works
96+ OCSD Transit Police
98+ Communications

Apparently, city public works agencies have adopted the old fire IDs, hence, Costa Mesa Public Works is Station 84. This has not been confirmed.

Feel free to add, delete, correct, etc. I'd like to come up with as comprehensive a list as possible.

Hi Dave,

I can confim the public works station numbers per the OC radio operations guide.
Also, I believe that Stations 6 & 8 are now folded into Station 94

Sorry if I come across as dimwitted, but are you talking about city public works agencies? If so, can you share the station numbers?

Frankly, if you have access to the OC radio operations guide, I'd like to get my hands on it!:D

Station 10 is only what the city and county call the CHP. They dont use that as a unit prefix, and there is no dispatch called Station 10 except on the interagency intercom.

Station 15 no longer exists. The Marshals were merged into the Sheriff's Dept.

Station 16 no longer exists. At one time the USMC had a MP office in Santa Ana that operated transports taking military members to MCAS El Toro from police custody. Later Station 16 was the dispatch for the MPs at MCAS El Toro.

Station 27 is a Brea PD substation in Yorba Linda. I dont think they use Station 27 on the radio except in refering to that Substation.

Station 30 is the OCSD dispatch at John Wayne Airport. They also dispatch for Airport Admin and Operations units. No units start with 30-xxx.

There is no Station 35, 38, 46 & 49. All those cities are served by OCSD. 35 & 46 did use to be the own PD's but they numbers didnt carry over. 38 & 49 were never their own PD, but the numbers were reserved just in case.

Station 54 is the OCSD Harbor Patrol dispatch in Newport. They dispatch for Newport, Sunset and Dana Point Harbors, but none of the units start with 54-xxx anymore.

Station 57 is the dispatch for US Ocean Safety, a private lifeguard company that operates on a contract basis on beaches outside City and State jurisdiction.

Terriffic! This is just the kind of feedback I've been looking for. Hard to believe, but there's no Wiki or anything else on the World Wide Web that I can find that has this information.

Station 49 is now in service and is the station number for Santa Ana Unified School District police. They used to be on UHF band but they are now on the county wide 800 band.
