Not sure if this applies here but perhaps a little history may be in order.

Years ago when the county was running with mostly vhf low band they eventually saw the need to move to higher frequencies. They decided to go from vhf low band to uhf and most of the folks at that time reffered ro uhf as " high band ". I still hear people that work in the county reffer to uhf as " high band ". They probably went to a uhf simplex channel and even if you were listening to it you may not have been able to hear the signal if those pd units were not near you.

Beachwood and Pine Beach Police have a frequency called "Private" on 153.9650 MHz (PL 127.3 Hz). It's licensed to the Beachwood Borough OEM. They used to use 153.9950 MHz, but recently switched. STR may have access to it.

I can attest to above comments about switching over to "high Band" when in fact they were using uhf frequencies. I am going to list some confirmed uhf frequencies as well as the last time I monitored them. They may have been used since but I don't monitor the county much anymore, just milair.

UHF:
453.3875 last heard on 12/31/03
453.5000 last heard on 03/15/04
453.8750 last heard on 03/15/04
VHF:
155.0850 last heard on 12/29/03

453.5000 MHz (PL 107.2 Hz) is a low-power repeater located in the County Justice Complex. I hear it used everyday.

What PL tones or DPL codes do you have for 453.3875 MHz, 453.8750 MHz, and 155.0850 MHz? Thanks.
