Ocean County Skip

This moring around 8:15 while I was eating breakfast I had my 97 tuned to 508.0875 (Delco S4) and noticed the lightning bolt was lit but nothing come across since it wasn't 136.5 PL. So I did Func Tune and sure enough, skip from Ocean County. I checked and I was able to trunk track with very good reception as if I was in Ocean County. Not long after, however, the signal faded and it is all gone now. Was great while it lasted though.

Anyone else encounter skip in this area earlier this morning?

So I was hearing skip on 506.6625 a little bit ago, and looked on the DB for Ocean County. It seems as though all the channels allocated for their system are also assigned to Delaware County! This also explains the random skip on other channels. My work scanner has no PL function

Yeup, that is the case. I got very weak skip from them this morning as well but wasn't able to hear anything - just barely heard the control channel on 508.4375. If you want to avoid hearing the skip and don't have PL capability, try using the attentuator.
