I'm glad it's working better now. You can always trade the 92 with your aunt when you go to a race, mall, amusement park, etc., so you can "stalk" for frequencies.

To turn your pro-83 into a frequency counter, make sure your scanner is off. Then hold down (HOLD)+(0)+(3) on power up & poof! You then can specified any band you want. Enjoy!

What bums me out, is that you can't search 153 to 160 MHz. There are a lot of good things in that range. Actually, there is no search from 148 to 174 MHz. This is really strange that Uniden did this!

See page 39. There is no range from 148.00 to 174.00 MHz.

The only way I see it is to do a direct entry search but when you get to the end then you will have to switch directions on your own. I never noticed that this thing doesn't have a simple limit search. I guess thats what we get for such a low end scannereyes00only said:BUT, how do you chage the limits of a "preset range" that is not there? My original post was that I could not set 153 to 160. There is no "preset" range from 148 to 174.

I think I got it the first time you said "IT WORKS!" It really doesn't matter to me because I hardly ever pick the 83 up but I thought I would say something for the die hard users.bee said:Dubbin, it works just as he said it would! Again thanks!
bee its what we call helping out :roll:bee said:Oh, You do the thinking for the die hard users!! Interesting!!
