lets clear this up if he wants City of Springfield he needs PROVOICE and NOT marcs. make sure it is in the freq range city actually uses, that is not the same type radio as Marcs is and if old marcs is going away and new marcs IP comes on as they said a radio cannot be used with marcs. Im thinking he wants to listen to City police/ fire and not knowing the absolute differences between Marcs and Pro voice. He has low number of messages so for all the pros out here if you could be more understanding to explain the differences not just criticize him for saying the wrong thing. Help educate, Ive also had concerns trying to explain what I want here at times.

I would like to point out that programming any commercial radio for unauthorized access to a radio system is unlawful and not condoned by Radio Reference. Comments made in this thread which may encourage users to flout the law by illegally programming any radios to access any communications system do not represent the views and policies of this site.
Furthermore, Ohio MARCS has very clearly stated their intention to prosecute to the full extent of the law anyone caught with an unauthorized commercial radio programmed for Ohio MARCS.
