OHP dispatch TG change…..

Ok I heard That I-40 troopers texas to Arkansa will now be on troop a metro for dispatch and I-35 troopers texas to Kansas will be on the Troop ARural talkgroup… this started this week and anyone confirm..?

Cannot confirm but Troop C Muskogee during the day and Troop B Tulsa after hours was taking I-40 from about Okemah to Arkansas. Haven't been steady listening but you could check traffic on broadcastify to see if that radio traffic is doing what you describe.

There is two new TG OHP I40 and OHP I35 they are in the database under troop A

It’s encrypted but has mostly all OHP and DEA ID’s.

Is OHP in the process of encrypting more of their radios? On 2761 for the past 12 hours or so, I can only hear the dispatchers and not any field units (with few exceptions). Is anyone else noticing this on any other talk groups?

Maybe dispatch has TGs in different areas multi-selected but not patched so you only hear mobiles on the site and TG that the feed provider radio is on.

I’m also scanning the Elgin, Lawton, and Walters sites using my SDS100 and notice the same thing.

Looking at 2761 on Broadcastify, all the radio traffic is there, Dispatcher and Trooper(s).

It seems that what I was observing is no longer a problem, however at the time I was only seeing the dispatch UIDs on Broadcastify calls.

Just to finish off the original thought of this thread: OHP has switched back to Troop A Metro and Rural instead of I-40 and I-35.

The interstates will again be patrolled by the troops that the highways run through.
