OKC Area Scanner Meeting (2)

I would like to try some place else other than the chinese place on 23rd. Last time I was there, the food wasn't very good... But before I make suggestions, is everyone hip to that area of town? Or could I perhaps suggest something in food row at I-40 and Meridian?

John my only concern with eating in the I-40 window is that we will have to find a place that is not trying to move tables through. I would hate to sit at a table for 2-3 hours at a restaurant and cost a waiter their night's tips from not rotating tables. That is just my opinion though. Unless we pay them a full night's wages altogether, then that wouldn't be so bad.
There are several restaurants though:
Plenty of Chinese!
Ihop/Denny's, Boomerang, Chuck House, Zio's, Kona, Chili's, Charleston's, Earl's Rib Palace, some other BBQ joint, Mickey D's, Sonic, Shorty Small's, Mackie McNear's (probably LOTS of meeting space and a good variety), Whataburger, Bueno...the list goes on!
I'm kind of leaning toward Mackie McNear's. Any other suggestions?
14th sounds good to me.

However, Freqscout has a good point about the "fancy" places at I-40 and Meridian... And I'm up for keeping it at a Chinese place, just maybe a different one..

It is at about 12th and South Meridian. A little ways south of I-40 on Meridian, about 6-8 blocks on the west side. It is actually still a "Western Sizzlin' ".
Also, for those who don't want to change, there is a GREAT chinese food buffet back to the west of Reno/Meridian! Can't think of what it is called but it is always fresh and quality food (I used to be a frequent customer when I worked down there). I'm getting hungry just thinking about all of this food!

The Chinese place on Reno or Mackies works for me, and i'm good for the 7th or the 14th.
Actually. IHOP might not be a bad idea. Free wireless interent there. Like I said, food is good and all, but if you want a completely private metting area, and we all bring some refreshments/snacks, then I can arrange that.
Of course, it doesn't matter to me. I will most likely be working that night and I don't like to chow down real big before strapping on a vest and 20 lbs of utility belt.
I would still prefer the 14th, I will have new goodies in the car ready to show off.

14th is good for me. As a newbie and a lurker, I don't have much say yet,but if Tuesday and the I-40/Meridian area is under consideration....
The Rib Crib is on Meridian and Tuesday night is their all you can eat rib night....
Just a thought.

What about Cimmaron Steak house. Plenty of room. Good menu to choose from cheap to expensive.

Actually, I don't think I am going to worry about changing it just yet. When the new goodies are installed, it will pretty much be hidden. I spent over $800 online today for new goodies. I should hopefully have them here and installed by the 14th. Sad thing is, none of the items are radio's. Radio holder yes, and some new lights. I am not going to say anything else, not until I get it installed and the new pics/video's up and going.
