OKC Area Scanner Meeting

Anyone still interested in a meeting for us scanner guys to get together? I'm interested, but don't have any location in mind for it. Any takers? Ideas on locations?

I'm up for early next week or sometime the following week. I'll be out of town 10/6-10/8.

If we get that as a date, where would y'all like to meet? If there aren't many of us, we could just meet and eat somewhere. If there's a bunch (or if we need to build something), we might need to find something else.

Wed wouldn't work for me, (Hiring Fair at RS), have meetings all day Tues, but open for the evening. Lots of goodies to bring this time, if anyone has any specific stuff they want to see, play with, demo etc post let me know and I'll bring it.

Well, it seems like we have 5 people interested. We could probably just meet at some restaurant and eat and show off goodies. I'd like for it to be central or NW if possible. I don't know too many places to go eat or anything, so I'm fully open for suggestions.

Well if are going to meet at an eating establishment, just a suggestion, maybe something like Golden Corral or Serlion Stockade, or one of those other large buffets, they usually have separate rooms. I'm up for Tuesday evening, say around 7:30ish?

7:30-ish sounds good to me. Perhaps the hams can talk-in on 444.775+ 141.3, if the trustee approves.

What's the address of one of those restaurants - or another one that everyone approves of?

Well, I'm not seeing anyone putting suggestions out for a meeting place.


I'm going to plan on eating at the Quizno's Subs at 3623 NW 39th St, Oklahoma City, OK
73112 around 7:30 PM today, 10/4/05. That's just west of the I-44 / US66 / Hefner Parkway interchange. If anyone wants to join in and talk and see stuff, feel free to join. It's not a really nice, open area, but I'm sure we can talk freely and have a good time there.

Well, there were 3 of us there tonight. Sorry we missed everyone else.

Main idea of the night was to make these meetings more regular to encourage people to come. Maybe something like the first Tuesday of the month will work for everyone. Nemo46 was going to check on room availablilty in the future. Let's plan next month's meeting early!

November Meeting

Anyone up for a November meeting?

I'd go for the first tuesday of the month as a regular meeting date if everyone would like, or we could move it around. I'm pretty flexible.

I think there might be some interest in tapping radios for etrunk for the new EDACS system. Perhaps we could do that, or build data slicers or something like that. Perhaps we could use Radio Shack, if the room is available.

Please post if you have ideas for locations or topics.

Anyone up for a meeting next week? If we go as earlier mentioned, next Tuesday would be the first Tuesday of the month (and the 1st of the month).

RadioShack wouldn't work next week. Our Regional director will be in town and using it for meetings. Were we wanting to do Data-Splicers again, or more of just a meet and talk type event?
