Well, I'm not seeing too much interest in a meeting - only two people? Anyone else out there???


Perhaps we could meet up this weekend. There is a hamfest in Enid. In case you've never been to a hamfest, it's basically a flea market for radio goodies (usually ham stuff, but there are lots of other things also)!

I'll be at Enid, be wearing an orange ARRL callsign badge (Asst. EC, Payne County). Enid is generally a great little hamfest.

Tables (if you want to sell something): $1 per 4'
Free parking, free hotdogs, free doughnuts, free coffee, hmmmmm.....
cheap enough that even the cheapest ham operators can go!
Talk-in on 147.375 +

Those of you who have a scanner that does close-call or signal stalker, this is certainly the place to use it! You can pick up all kinds of fun things and hear where all the hot items are.

For all you reading this in the OKC area, please come - suggest a time and place. I know there are several of us that would love to answer questions or show you things. I like seeing everyone's radios and ways that they have their scan lists set up. Don't think this is a private meeting or anything - everyone join in!!! It's always more fun with others interested in the same things you are...

Bring your questions, radios, and appetite (if we meet somewhere to eat!).

Yes i agree with Mark.
It's always good to see everyone and maybe even some new faces and toys! So come on guys lets get together and get some regular meetings going like we used to have. Anyone and everyone is invited to join.

Well if no one is gonna post any ideas about a meetin' place, i'll suggest the Skyline Cafe at I-35 and SE 15th Street back to the east a little way. We used to have get togethers there. If anyone has any different ideas please post them.
