Upman I appreciate your knowledge and support here. Do you know the answer to this question ? How many erase/write cycles will we get with the 396 ? Also, what did you mean when you said reverting " is not a supported operation " ? I am not very computer savvy or technically inclined , and when I stated in an earlier post that " I reverted back to v1.09 " , I only meant that I reinstalled v1.09 . which also seems to mean the same thing as "reflashing" , which is also a new term for me. So, if " reverting " is something other than that, then , it is not something that I have done. Is the following a true statement ? When a firmware version is installed , the scanner should exhibit the characteristics of the firmware currently installed regardless of which one it was operating on before . Also, I have had it reccommended to me, to do a reset / reinitialization of the scanner prior to installing firmware. What are your thoughts on that ? I am not interested in unnecessarily reinstalling/reflashing firmware , I just want to be happy with the performance of my scanner. I had already passed on the v1.10 update, as I did not feel it was necessary for me, but the v1.11 sounded like it had features and improvements that I would like and benefit from. Any way, I appreciate your assistance and your patience.
