Is the Orleans County 46.08 Fire Paging still active? I am not hearing any activity but my reception was always marginal.

I had not listened for a while and it was always marginal and I have a high noise level on Low band now so it probably is still active.

I just heard a call go out on 46.08, 151.085, and the trunk system.

I have an external 6m/2m/70cm antenna that I can hook a scanner to and I actually pick up the low band better than the high band VHF.

Thanks for checking! I tried switching antennas and confirmed I now have a horrible noise level on Low Band and have to have squelch so tight can only hear very strong signals. Really nothing to hear anyway other than NYSDOT. Only Low Band Fire paging still left in WNY is Chautauqua, Steuben and Orleans.

I've picked up a few transmissions on the DHSES Bristol frequencies, and 45.88 is definitely still in use for county-to-county fire mutual aid requests. Once in a while I'll hear a call-out on 39.46 but the last time I did there was no response from the called county.
