I've been monitoring this system from my QTH for the last couple weeks. Reception here in Brevard isn't that bad at all. Is anyone here actively monitoring this system?

some of the outlier talkgroups I have not figured out yet:


003 --- does a radio check every morning around 0800

030 --- unknown. Usually only use first names, Steve, Joe, etc.

057 --- seems to be mostly people going on and off "the clock", checking in, etc. (?)

069 --- community center (?)

085 --- Surveillance channel (in the clear) - suspected to be OCSO

091 --- seems to be some kind of back channel to the Osceola Regional ER - this TG is way out of sequence of the other "hospital" talkgroups

141 --- LOTS of Spanish speakers on this TG (unknown)

183 --- seems to be a "LE NET" - and unencrypted. Used to coordinate across agencies it seems.

243 --- out of sequence OCSO Jail TG (?) - other TGs that seem to be jail related are 149. 151. 153, 161 (OI have 31000+ PTTs on TG 161, 7000+ on 153)

207 --- seems to be Kissimmee PD Channel 2 - but ENC, so ?

TGs 257, 273, 275, 280, 285, 287, 293 332 all seem to be "Utility" related... water, power, sewer, actual channel names = no idea

307 and 309 seem to be St. Could PD Channels 2 and 3 --- unknown though due to encryption

If you're feeling ambitious you could set up UniTrunker v2 with a couple $20 SDR dongles and watch which radios affiliate with which talkgroups. That metadata can be quite revealing. You can even confirm the encrypted channels if those units ever switch over to a clear talkgroup, but you'd have to be listening at the time to know.

TG169 is active this morning with what sounds like vehicle surveillance; suspect LE due to use of 10 codes, running license plates, etc. No idea which agency.

The RID dump is a complete dump from DSD+ of RIDs seen on the system, sorted by TG.

Firstly - I'm not at all even in the area. However, since you posted the data, I thought it would be an interesting exercise to put it through Excel and make some assumptions. I have included it as an attachment so you can use it. Sorry if people have already done this, hopefully, I'm not coming across as patronising.

TG169 has been affiliated by radios (59182**/59182** range) that have also affiliated with TG47, which is in the block of TG's (42,44,46,47,48) that look like OCSO groups, so I'd say an OCSO group, possibly specialist units. Would be worth keeping an eye on any TG's those RID's affiliate to.

TG85 in as OCSO Surv has some interesting RID's affiliated, those in the 900**** and 500**** range which don't seem to affiliated to much else, I'd keep an eye on what and where these RID's go and how many unique RID's affiliate to the groups over time, not sure it's an OCSO group though.

TG309 seems to have RID's from St Cloud AND a console RID affiliated, so probably a dispatch related group.

That's just my observations from processing the data. If I was you, I'd leave DSD running on the control channels for a while longer and then process through the data, in the same way, to see what else you can discover from patterns emerging.

just curious - has anyone copied ANY voice traffic on the 700 side of the 48E Osceola system?

All I see in DSD+ are failed radio authentications.... I do not think I have ever caught an actual voice call on this site of the system... anyone else?
(the 1.1 Enc Group calls in the window below are from the 800mhz side of their system - Site 1.1)

That is strange. When I am down there I am in Harmony, east of St Cloud. I routinely hear traffic on that site.
I have not been there in a couple months. Planning on going down soon, will see what I hear.

WIth Joe's help, the list of Unknown user TalkGroups on the Osceola system got a lot smaller. I left TG 397 on here - we are pretty sure it's related to the schools/school board - but don't know exactly what it's used for.

here is a updated unknown list for today - groups labeled with "suspected" have been narrowed down based on Radio IDs seen using that particular group. TG243 is another strange one - it's most certainly a jail of some sort, but it is out of sequence from the other Jail talkgroups. TG326 is most certainly an EMS>Hospital group, but I've not been able to copy which facility it is.

i am still trying to figure out TG 293. This is in the dB as "STATION 24" - but the comms I have heard so far don't really lead you to think it's utilities.

if you monitor this system, please plug this TG in and take a listen - it's active at all hours of the night/day.
