Had the opportunity to come through Southern Oregon in mid February. Was able to verify that OSP has a new channel in use south of Klamath Falls.

RX - 154.025
TX - 155.580
PL - 131.8

Now all we need is complete updates from Lake & Klamath Counties and we'll be set.

I was in KFalls this past weekend (5/3/09) and monitored the new freq with a PL of 123.0 (not standard for OSP's usual configurations). I verified this on a Yaesu VX-5 and a Pro-162 handheld scanner.

Hmmm, I'll have to look at my notes. I was sure I had 131.8. Could they be using 2 pl's??? One for tripping both the 154.025 and 154.695 and a separate pl for tripping only the 154.025?

The new repeater is a simulcast of the main freq, 154.695.

I heard officers using all three pre-existing repeaters:
56 154.695 131.8 Klamath Falls, Hogback Mtn (155.5800 167.9 in)
57 154.695 131.8 Chiloquin, Pelican Butte (155.5800 192.8 in)
58 154.695 131.8 Klamath Falls, Moore Mtn (155.5800 131.8 in)

All were simulcast on the new 154.025, with a 123.0 tone.

Since I was located in south Klamath Falls area, I drove down to Tulelake, CA where the repeater is at and did some monitoring down there. I listened to both the 154.695 and 154.025 repeaters at once and both were active from at all times. The 123.0 tone breaks from their usual set of PLs, but so do the Gilchrist sites.

There was an officer working the border on Saturday when I arrived, but I didn't get a chance to pick up his input to see what the tone was.
