Tonight at the big accident on Lake Michigan Dr and 104th, Allendale asked units on the scene to go to Channel 8. Is that one of the Ottawa Interop Channels? What do they use

No, it is fire ground. Ottawa county utilizes Motorola simplex for fireground. Those include FG5,6,7,8,9 and 10 (for water shuttle). It was initially thought they where re-named national 8TAC frequencies but I'm uncertain of that.
