Overheard on the Chester County feed

I was listening to the Chester County feed earlier this evening and heard the following traffic...there were LOLs involved. Did anybody else hear this as well?

CHESTER: MICU 67...emotionally ill subject.

MICU 67: En Route

CHESTER: MICU 67, additional information from the caller states that "there are demons in the basement"

MICU 67: OK on "demons in the basement"

CHESTER: Patient will be waiting on the front porch because of the demons

MICU 67: OK then, I'll take my garlic and charms then...

....TOTAL SILENCE....

Does anybody know why the feed has random sporadic key-ups with nothing but a high-pitched tone lasting about 15 seconds?

Do you mean the RR feed or the county's fire and ems rebroadcasts? If its the rebroadcast freqs i notice that and wonder too why that happens.

I hear it both on the RR feed and on my RadioShack PRO-97.

I hear that high pitched tone on my pro-2096. I hate it, but don't know what causes it.

Hate that high pitched tone when I listen too. 1st time I heard it I thought it was a group call for some reason but when nothing was said after I shrugged it off as a blip in the system. But when it kept happening it gets very annoying very quick. Wouldn't be as bad if it were at a lower tone but that higher pitch is terrible.
