P-25 Control Channel on 408.0000 in Des Moines Area

Greetings,

I'm staying in downtown Des Moines for a few days and I am picking up a P-25 control channel on 408.0000. I am on the 6th floor of a hotel in a room that faces north. I don't see anything in the RR database regarding it.
Uni-Trunker is showing some activity on the system, but no voice traffic in the last minutes. I have seen 3 different radios affiliate with TG 3. The WACN IS 00001 AND SYS-ID IS 001 (Obviously no help). It does show that it is Manufactured by Motorola and is TDMA capable.

Have you seen a NAC? Or maybe Radio IDs?

This is what I've seen so far with UT parked on 408.0000MHz for last two hours. SDS-100 shows Nac 0000, DSD-Plus occasionally shows Nac:555 but that seems to be more of bad readding.

All of a sudden around 1030pm there was a bunch of traffic on TG 2. All encrypted.

I was reading about a new federal building that was to open up in 2024 in Des Moines, could this be who the owner/user is?

407.8375 is the VA Medical Center PD in the database. My guess is the whole thing is their system and completely encrypted wouldn't surprise me.

That freq was (Back when it was Analog) the USPS Sorting Facility.

I would venture they went P25, altho most have gone DMR across the country and not P25 for Non LE Operations
What type of Traffic are you hearing ??? is it CLR or ENC ???

Edit - since two of the Freqs you reported were prior VA Hospital conventional frequencies, I'm more inclined to think the VA now

Are you in range of the VA @n0esc inked above?

And usually DSDPlus will list (cc scc) alternate control channels. Can you open the DSDPlus.p25data file and post the relevant info or take a screenshot?
