Good morning all, is there any one in Northern Nevada that can help with acquiring the radio sites that are transmitting the P25ll broadcast? I currently can receive the "washoe county simulcast " however when I'm not in the metro area of reno I'm not able to monitor P25ll (obviously) only conventional broadcast. Their is a plethora of sites in and around the Northern Nevada and I'm guessing that some if not all sites are broadcasting the P25ll broadcast. Please can someone help me figure out how to obtain? Thank you all much

Did you check the RR database, each tower location is listed for each site? If it is not in the RR database check the FCC database, it lists tower locations in there. Finally, the FCC Site / Market / Frequency Query database allows you to search by location.

I'll have to learn how to use the FCC database. Thank you
The Metro Simulcast is the only system on at this time.
Here is a link to the database. Look under "Washoe County Simulcast."

BTW, the director of this part of the statewide project, earlier this year, gave a report to the Washoe County Commission stating this system was at least two years out from going online, and possibly longer. You really don't need to program the P25 system just yet, unless you like hearing Donald Duck. If you travel outside the Reno basin you will need to program the old EDACS system.

Good luck!

Ok "markclark" i really appreciate the reply. I do have the EDACS programed, and the P25ll "washoe simulcast " site programed (and works great) . The audio on the " washoe simulcast " is great. I do look at the RR database for any updates.

Your welcome. BTW, it's good the system sounds great, because many P25 systems sound pretty bad - like the Douglas County system, but there are others - voice quality varies a lot.
