Running just fine on windows 11 for 2 months now with all software updates and no problems.
Great feature Todd, thanks so much! Will make a lot of use of this at home and even while roaming.@turnpike61,
I think it was you that asked for this feature a few months back. version 2021-10-09_2005 now has options on the SearchDB tab for automatically adding primary, secondary, and neighbor sites to the roaming table. Once they are in the table, you can select them and add them to the flash. Once this is done, then enable roaming on the P25RX Config tab, set the timeout to 300 seconds, and write the config. Now the switch over to secondaries and neighbors will be automatic if the signal is lost.View attachment 110578
Nice feature Todd, however, I don't see an option for 300 seconds in the Timeout drop down....set the timeout to 300 seconds,
Thank you. I think I see why it isn't working. Please see 2021-10-13_0706 for an attempt to get this fixed.I have tried setting up roaming on a TDMA CC site. I simulated loss of site by disconnecting antenna. Upon reconnect the receiver cycles through all of the save roaming frequencies but does not lock on any active CC. Log attached. Does same thing if "Switch Control Channel after" is set to 300 or 0. Have to reenter freq of a valid CC to reestablish a site.
Issues appears to be fixed. Upon reconnect of antenna receiver locked onto first active CC in table. Please see 2021-10-13_0706 for an attempt to get this fixed.
The change to fix roaming for the TDMA CC mode would not have any effect on the roaming for the normal P25 mode. I did fix an issue in the zip-code search to prevent duplicate frequencies from being listed when the "include duplicate frequencies" option is un-checked. I think it should work as it did if you enable that checkbox. Unless you are referring to changes multiple versions back, I don't know what would be causing issues. Can you explain more about the different emission types?I used to be able to roam rather well across several CC's on different systems, since the last update, this doesn't appear to work as well. I cannot quite put my finger on what is happening, but I sometimes get multiple entries in the tables (different emission types) which is confusing to see, since only one of them is identified as an active CC.
Also, fwiw, since choosing a different location for audio files than the default, that has become the default across everything, so that if I want to restore a talk group list or CC list, I have to navigate back to the original P25RX folder (which for me is on another drive).
@turnpike61, @dispatchgeek , I think I found and fixed the issue. This affects both the P25RX and P25RX-II. The solution is to not allow adding "secondary, neighbor" population of the roaming table while roaming mode is enabled. I'm pretty sure this will resolve the issue. 10-16_1955.
I’ll give it a spin when I hit my desk tomorrow morning. Thanks Todd!
Yes. for example, the words like $RSS$ would be replaced with the current signal strength. If you put in the string "RSSI: $RSSI$ dBm", then the display might look like: RSSI: -95 dBm.I like the Display View on version _0520. No issues noted, but I have only had it running for a few minutes.
What's the purpose of the key words? Is it to change what can be displayed on each line?
