On version _2245, in Display View, the top three lines flicker if I have "Clear on No Voice" checked. They do clear on no voice, but when a voice is present, they flicker.
I'm not seeing any flicker at all when voice becomes active and the top three lines become visible on 2245.

EDIT: I do see the flicker. I didn't at first as the communications were so short but now that I've had some lengthier fire dispatches, the flicker is obvious.

Regarding the Display View addition: I know the functionality and the display of this information has always been available in the BTConfig software in one form or another. But I cannot emphasize enough how much this small addition has enhanced my enjoyment of the P25RX. It truly is a lot of bang for the buck. Thanks so much for adding this thoughtful change.

Thank you. I find myself leaving the software on the display view tab most of the time now too. Thanks to @freqseeker for the idea!

I like the new display tab as well, thank you!
One future addition might be to add the TG Hold and TG SKIP buttons to the screen. Not that you need more work :)
I added this to the list. I should have it done this weekend sometime. I'm currently working on improving the overall speed of communications to the device. I've had multiple people ask for the ability to have enough talk group records for the MARCS system. The latest release for the P25RX supports that. Once I get the changes to the TG flash code done, the P25RX-II will also support more talk groups, and both models should update / flash faster. Let me know if you find any issues with the talk group max records update. Be sure to backup your talk groups first, just in case.

Any update on trying to add NXDN 9600 conventional?

I have a one or two security departments at hospitals using NXDN 9600 baud single channel conventional. I'd love to monitor them with the P25RX if 9600 baud is possible for NXDN.
The conventional NXDN 4800 works well for one hospital near me.

Thanks for all the improvements Todd!

Yes, it should be possible. I can't test here though. I don't have any 9600 systems in range. I'll contact you directly on this for testing.

I'd be glad to help test it if you think it can be done.

The NXDN 9600 systems are single channel conventional and not very busy but both have a great signal here.

It is on my list. It is basically the same as DMR for decoding the bits. Possibly need some adjustments to the pulse shaping filter. I will contact you when it is ready to test.

Don't put this before any bug fixes that may come up!

Thanks Todd

Hi Todd,
I have a feature request...would it be possible for the user to be able to reorder the tabs in the BTConfig interface?
Thank you for your continued work with the Blue Tail receivers. My P25RX and Unication G5 are my only radios at this time. Perfect for what I need. The P25RX is the one that is on the most.
Best regards.

Small request for the display view, not sure how hard or easy this is to implement. But is it possible to add an adjustable "fade" time to the displayed information. I find myself hearing a transmission and looking over to see what system/TGID it was, but only to see the display drop because the voice transmission had dropped. Then I have to go to the TG log tab to see that info.

If possible, I'd like a way to set it so that we have an adjustable persistence value for the transmission info to give us a little more time to see who it was that just spoke.

Thanks!

(I only offer this observation based my past p25rx Android App and display development.)

On a very busy system, especially when Priority Interrupt is enabled, "holding" the displayed info on screen may cause more confusion.

If not updated in real time, on a very busy system the displayed info will not be in sync with the current audio.

One possible solution, if desired, may be to offer a simple line or two of the TG log/history with time stamp in addition to the real time display line.

I like the simplicity of having nothing but the TGID & Aliias, RID & Alias (if any) and the Site + signal on the Display View. If I want to see more, I use the TG Log.

I notice if I uncheck "Clear on No Voice" the info stays up longer on the Display View. I can also get it to stay on a TG longer if I increase the Talk Group Timeout on the config tab.

Personally, I like having that timeout set to 1sec. Seems long enough for my purposes.

I'm running 2 radios on 1 MacBook.

On the Michigan MPSCS system, the first digit of the RID (if 7 digits) is the zone. Next 2 digits are the county. Michigan has 83 counties numbered numerically. On that display I posted, 50 would be Macomb Co and 63 is Oakland County. Both are suburbs of Detroit. If an RID is 8 digits, the zone is the first 2. After seeing enough of these, they become easily recognizable. County 00 is used for dispatch consoles.

This is a very large system statewide with 110,000 users. The Detroit Simulcast has very little "dead air".

I think I might be able to make this work with with the mouse for dragging tabs, but it isn't directly a part of the Java API. It is on the list.

I'll try to come up with a couple of options for this including something along the lines of what @goldmyne99 suggested. Maybe a keyword that allows the display of a time-stamped previous record.
