the issue I have with the CB crowd of so called "technicians" is that they usually do not have a correct answer for a given question. It is all reblabbed advertising hype and technical gobbledegook that they have no clue about.

Rather looks that way, the average CB "technician" is a blivet in the true sense of the word. Oh and if you want to see the ham equivalent you'll find them on QRZ. Just prepare for the unintended consequences, you may sacrifice your sanity to the god of La La Land aka 6 Land. (I'll bet she wants to kill me.)

Getting down to where the rubber meets the road, the Palomar Engineering Group was worth something when they used Clegg designs but rapidly went downhill when they acquired SBE the maker of the worst CBs in the world and as a sideline made CBs disguised as ham rigs like that one in question. I'd dump it for reasons previously stated plus the fact that after going through the changes produced items of abysmal quality. That's why it doesn't work, it was a POS to begin with.

Hello Eddy. i found a print for this radio and i was surprised to see this radio does not use the binary adders. my question is when you had the top off did you see a rectangle silver block with a single screw in the middle. let me know.
