New user using sentinel w/sbs200. Installed a Bergen County file - the one with PD Dispatch 1-19. No Paramus. Read on another thread Paramus may be moving towards encryption or are they still analog? Any help appreciated.

I have them on 460.500000 and could still hear them as of Wednesday or Thursday.

Not encrypted but it's almost all gibberish anyway, they're constantly like "condition purple, code zulu, post 13 with a signal 1"

Paramus is still analog. No switch to fully encrypted yet, although it is reportedly coming very soon. I monitor both of their repeater channels daily and there have been radio techs on and off the air for the past few weeks. Some of the radios seem as though they’ve been set up already. And yes, they do make heavy use of 10 codes. The 10 codes on the list that was linked above are still good. All reports are that the PD will encrypt, but FD and EMS will not.

That is correct. Channel 1 (460.500) will go encrypted and Channel 3 (460.075) will remain in the clear along with FD/EMS.

All patrol units have been issued updated subscribers (Kenwood) and new subscriber units installed in the cars (Kenwood again)

Was told the switch is coming within the next month

Is channel 3 (460.075) going to remain analog, or will it be switched to a digital mode?
