Yes. Sorry about that. As I mentioned I entered the incorrect keystrokes & then sent it in error. Sorry about that everyone. Not sure if you’re doing it on purpose or not, but what you have typed here is nothing but gibberish that makes no sense at all.
I downloaded the software &Glad to hear you are OK Dave. I have an ARC500 file with the EDACS systems for Pasco and Hillsborough Counties. Were you able to download and install the ARC500 software and do you have a cable?
yes I'm fine. As I mentioned I entered the incorrect keystrokes & then sent in error. 100% inperfection.Sorry gents but we don't have access to his personal information.
Yes. TVengr believes the software I downloaded is in a zipfile. However, according to RR, both Hillsborough & Pasco counties have changed to a P25. I'm going to open the zipfile now to see if everything downloadedGlad to hear you are OK Dave. I have an ARC500 file with the EDACS systems for Pasco and Hillsborough Counties. Thx for your concern! I'm fine other than my mental retardationWelcome back Dave, we thought we'd lost you….
First, you need to right click on the downloaded zipped file and click on Extract All to extract it. Double click on the extracted Setup file to run it and install the ARC500 software on your computer.I'm going to open the zipfile now to see if everything downloaded
Your scanner is not capable of receiving the new Pasco County P25 system and can receive very little on the new Hillsborough Co P25 system. All you can do is monitor the EDACS systems in both counties until they go away. Have you been able to install ARC500?However, according to RR, both Hillsborough & Pasco counties have changed to a P25.
There are a few threads going on about this. I saw a reference to a Tampa Dave was on Pinterest with photos of ham radio? If at some point Lindsay can check just what the full name is, he would have access to that, maybe check the FCC database.
It could be faulty voice to text but poster would have picked up on that. Very few posts but in the past made sense and were readable.
Always a chance it's an ETOH induced blackout or just texting while sleeping.

Fully aware of losing the encrypted transmissions via Hillsborough and Pasco. Some are still active but will surely be going away at any time. Was able to download ARC500. However when I unzipped the file there was nothing in there. Again I believe I am skipping steps or am not doing it correctly. I unzipped the file and then was directed to “run” the program. I don’t see the file anywhere! Incredibly frustratingYour scanner is not capable of receiving the new Pasco County P25 system and can receive very little on the new Hillsborough Co P25 system. Downloaded the latest ARC500/August 2022 version. Downloaded fine. However, when I opened the file there were no frequencies! Is that correct? Am I missing something?Sometimes, the virus protection software will not complete the download of a file that it does not recognize. You will get a message in the download box if that is the case. It downloaded OK when I just tried it. Try clicking on the yellow disk icon in the toolbar to go to the file explorer. In the upper left area of the page, click on the Downloads folder. Locate the ARC500 zipped file and right click on it (right button on mouse or right side of pad. Click on Extract All. Here is another link you can try: ARC500 software > new 2022 version

The attached zipped file is the blue icon with a zipper labeled Pasco_Hillsboro.zip (Under Attachments). When you click on it, the file is saved in the Downloads folder of your computer. I don't know what version of Windows you are running. You need to access the File Explorer and open the Downloads folder. Right click on that zipped file (Pasco_Hillsboro) and then click on Extract All. You may see another folder after the file is extracted. If you double click on that folder, the extracted Pasco_Hillsboro.gr5 file will be visible. That is the file that you Open with ARC500.There was no attached zip file to save (unless it saved & I don't know where it is).
Will this file work with ARCXT and the BCD325P2?There will not be any frequencies, systems, or talkgroups until they are programmed. I have a file to program the scanner. With the ARC500 software opened, do this: Your programming cable should be UNPLUGGED from your computer. Click on the Scanner tab at the top of the screen in ARC500. Click on Install USB Driver. Click on Yes when it asks "Are you sure?" After doing that, click on the attached zipped file to save it to your computer. Click on the yellow disk icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to enter the file explorer. Click on the Downloads folder in the upper left area of the screen. Right click on the Pasco_Hillsboro zipped file and click on Extract All. Once extracted, close the file explorer and click on Open in the upper left corner of ARC500. Select and Open the extracted Pasco_Hillsboro.gr5 file. At this point, the programming file will be loaded into ARC500. In the Object Browser of ARC500, click on Talkgroup. You should see the 576 talkgroups loaded into the ARC500 software. Check your programming cable. If the scanner end has a mono plug, unplug the adapter from the cable. Your scanner needs a stereo plug. Turn your scanner on and attach the antenna. Plug the USB end of the programming cable into your computer and the stereo plug into the PC/IF jack on the scanner. Click on the Scanner tab in ARC500. Click on Upload to Scanner. Click on Start Upload in the box that pops up. You should see a blue bar go across the screen from left to right as the file is loaded into the scanner. When the box disappears, the scanner will be programmed and should be working. If you don't receive anything, turn the squelch control on the scanner to the left. If you get an error when you click on Start Upload, let me know and I will walk you through what to do.

No! That scanner is an entirely different format. ARC-XT can import ARC396 and ARC996 files. It cannot import ARC500 files. I could copy and paste the systems and talkgroups into an ARC-XT file for you to use. Will this file work with ARCXT and the BCD325P2?
That would be helpful, thank youNo! That scanner is an entirely different format. ARC-XT can import ARC396 and ARC996 files. It cannot import ARC500 files. I could copy and paste the systems and talkgroups into an ARC-XT file for you to use.
Here are the ARC-XT files. Save the first two zipped files to your computer and extract. Save the third PDF file to your computer. Open the two extracted files with ARC-XT and Upload to Scanner. The PDF file will answer all of your questions about using quick keys. Quick keys as follows:That would be helpful, thank you
