For a long while now I've been trying to figure out what radio make / model produces this sound. Is it simply some sort of Kenwood with a custom sound or something completely different?
It can be heard throughout the video. Examples of it are at time stamps 5:11 and 5:41. I figured that this forum may be the best place to maybe find an answer.

I believe that's a scanner priority tone. Let's the user know they're receiving traffic on a priority channel. That's not something that actually goes over the air

X2 on this. This is a customizable tone on Uniden scanners for priority channel.

It can also be and I’ve done this an “alert” tone. Meaning every time a specific channel keys up it plays the alert. *beep* I know it’s so and so channel because I have it set to alert with a specific tone/chime.

Huh. Never would've thought it could've been from the scanner itself. It would be really neat if that could be done over the air by a radio. Thanks for the help in identifying the mystery sound!

I was guessing it was an identifier on a radio, this does not sound like a scanner that is scanning. Probably a non-motorola radio that is IDing.

It's an alert tone on Uniden scanners probably on close call. It was coming on at the beginning of some transmissions.
