Hello,

I am running 64bit Windows 10 and recently loaded the Icom IC-PCR2500 control software. However the control software never finds the COM port.

Has anyone manage to the their PCR2500 running correctly on 64bit Windows 10?

Thanks

I'm not running win10 just for that reason, that it sometimes has problems with older hardware/software.

But what happens when you connect the USB cable, does windows set a com port to it? If not then it's a windows thing with the USB driver.
But if windows finds the com port, and you then could force it to a lower number just to be sure that the Icom program can use it, does the program just ignore the com port when you choose it, saying that there's no device at that com port?

I have it working on Windows 10 64 bit (latest updates applied).
You might need to grab the latest software from Icom Japan, it includes a USB driver that will work with Windows 10.

There are some good tips in this thread about how to validate that the Windows device manager sees the USB devices required.

It does work on Windows 10.
Thanks.
