It's like ... traveling in time, or learning to fly (no, not in an airplane)

Truly mind blowing.

NO. It's like 1977, going to Amateur Electonic Supply and next door was the Heathkit Store, and we used to sit down at their ham station and play with the SB-104 and electronic keyer. It felt like space age equipment compared to our National SW-54, or Hallicrafters SX-99. That's what this feels like.

Hardware firewall. Most cable/DSL modems (or wi-fi routers) have a NAT built-in which (if configured properly) prevents bad things from happening. ;)

Perseus on the way!

Hey guys, I decided to pick up a Perseus SDR. I got it used at a great price so I can't complain.

It should arrive Friday and will have it up and running about 5 minutes after receiving it. :D

I'll let you know how it all works.

My plan is to hook it up to the internet (during the day - when I'm not around) so you guys can hear SWL stations from my awesome QTH.

Congrats Nick! You won't be disappointed in your purchase. I'll have my server back online this Fall when it's safe to string the BOGs back out through the woods. I'll look forward to connecting to your Perseus when you get it online.

Got it this AM from FedEx. It works!

I'm using it with the 4.0A software -- just noticed that 4.0B is out now. Having too much fun. Wish I didn't have to work today! :D:cool:

You have to open up ports for the Perseus application.

Yes, I own one. I was just wondering if there was something else with the evaluation version. Guy I know is having issues. I believe it's in his port forward. He's telling me he can only enable TCP or UDP but not together. Never heard of that before.
