Peterborough County DMR

I'm hearing Peterborough County is getting ready to switch. Anyone have any updates on this?

Anything that has been done for DMR in Peterborough County has been on a individual basis. County Roads switched to DMR as Selwyn, North Kawartha, Norwood /Asphodel, Peterborough City, but no effort by the county to have all jurisdictions switch over like Northumberland did.

Peterborough County Medics, OPP are getting ready to switch over to the new provincial LMRN radio system very soon according to what I have heard from a source. Currently, they are still on FleetNet. I am not sure if that's what you are referring to. That system is encrypted P25, not DMR.

Probably the fire department, which in the area has mostly been transitioning to DMR.

That was 2 years ago. As of today, analog fire is following townships: Havelock, Belmont and Metheun, Douro, Cavan, Monoghan.

County roads are DMR
