PG County Question

The db has PG using 155.7900 CSQ for station alerting but I'm showing a PL of 289.4 on the transmissions I've been receiving. Does PG use 289.4 or am I hearing someone else?

I believe they use 155.79000 CSQ for station alerting. You may be hearing someone else on 156.79000, unless that was a typo.

You are correct, a typo on my part. 12 degrees this morning and my fingers are still frozen.

289.4 doesn't sound like a valid PL - the highest one I know of is 254.1.

155.685 mhz with a PL of 156.7 hz is the voice paging for PG Fire.

Looks like the frequency in your post is the alternate one. Itshows CSQ (carrier squelch) for that one. Never listened to this one, but have to above frequency. I am down that way a few times a week in the work truck and will have to check it out.

You're right, I must have had a bad decode for some reason, most likely the distance. 254.1 is the highest one in the online references.

155.79 is just alert tones. No voice traffic. Not really worth listening to, but to each his own. I have it programmed into my PG Co list on my 536.

Sometime other agencies share the channel i heard pubic work on that channel before
