Unitrunker Phase 2 decoding

i'm trying to find out from online searches but i'm confused does unitrunker cover p25 phase 2?

oh ok... well i finally just got unitrunker working i had tried over and over and could not get it to work but after putting my j pole ontop of the house i can finally hear some audio coming from it and i have to admitt i like this layout it shows the information really well and it seems more organized than dsdplus what are your thoughts on the two softwares? oh and unitrunker version 2 doesn't handle 2 dongles at once does it? i'm using two dongles with it now and i have both sites up and running is unitrunker more like dsdplus with the dongles than sdrtrunk? Thanks

I really don't know. I've used all 3, but it's been a while. I think each has their own unique strengths and weaknesses. They are all great programs, but for me, I love DSD-FME.

does unitrunker 2 decode p25 phase 1 and 2?

According to their website, it does not decode Phase 2.

Unitrunker won’t decode phase two tg’s but Stars has minimal phase two tg’s listed and none for your county. It will decode anything listed with a D.

yeah i was looking at that on sdrtrunk when i select my channel i have been choosing p25 phase 2 trunked system. but i tested trying phase 1 and it's still working so does that mean i should just leave it on phase 1?

Note: all APCO25 Phase 2 systems use an APCO25 Phase 1 control channel. Use a Phase 1 decoder for the Phase 2 system and sdrtrunk will automatically create the Phase 2 traffic channels for you. However, if you want to listen to the Phase 2 channels individually, you must supply the descramble settings for the channel.

ok what do u mean by listening to phase 2 channels individually? is that different from just selecting a control channel on sdrtrunk?. also look at this pic the signal i have circled in red is the same as the signal i am locked onto to the left of it but it just shows active instead of a yellow control. that is a signal right why can't i do anything with it?

just wanted to let u know i got my LNA and i'm pulling in signals i never had before so it deff was a good idea to get it.
